A compilation of the three books

Three Tales of My Father's Dragon
We already have the three books but I wanted to get a set for my son's school. I ordered this one but noticed how short it is. The third book is only a few pages long. It didn't say abridged anywhere in the info or on the book jacket. But on one of the first pages it says "A Compilation" which I thought meant put together, but may also mean abbreviated. I sent it to the school anyway since I'd already paid for it. But now I'll find the three separate books so the kids can get the full story.

How did this get such great reviews?????

My 5 year old daughter is an exceptional reader for her age. She has been asking to read chapter books. We read James and the Guant Peach and she loved it. Then we decided to read this book. It came highly recommended and had great reviews. We were excited to start reading.... Until we started. We are almost finished with the first story and completely bored. The wrirting is not engaging. It is completely empty. I'm scratching my wondering how any child or adult could find this book a pleasure to read.

Wonderful! All around Wonderful!

The book arrived quickly and was beautifully new and perfect condition. I read it outloud to my 4 and 2 year old boys as they laid in bed. My 4 year old LOVED it!! And looked forward to me reading it every night. Before I was even done with the book he asked that when we finished if I could start it over again. Fun book. So glad I bought it! I am positive we'll enjoy these for years to come with my house full of boys (we have 3) - (though little girls would enjoy it as well)
