Gabel's textbook is personal and comprehensive

The management text by Gabel is descriptive and easy to read, making leadership strategy in organizational change manageable and very realistic for manager and refreshing for executive. Its inclusion of excellent and "real life" case studies further support its content as fundamental practice for leaders in healthcare. The book moves quickly from basic definitions to the planning of change, and can become an excellent handbook for healthcare leaders.

Gabel offers a good primer on managing internal organizational change at the leadership level. This is an excellent "how-to" for administrators and managers, and will also provide good grounding for front-line supervisors regarding the bigger picture/conceptual level.
